Sidmouth Society of Artists (SSA) Website

Do you have a passion for art?  Enjoy painting or sculpting?  or perhaps are thinking of picking up a paintbrush for the first time? Then your amongst friends… Why not come along and see what we are about?.. lets create a colourful future for Sidmouth and the South West.

We are a friendly art society who host monthly demonstrations at Kennaway House, organise a variety of members events and hold a number of exhibitions throughout the year. Exhibitions include 'Art in the Theatre', a fantastic opportunity for members to display their artwork in the prestigious Manor Pavilions Sidmouth, our open air 'Art in the Park' held in the beautiful Connaught Gardens overlooking the sea, and not forgetting our highly anticipated and bountiful 'Annual Summer Exhibition' at Kennaway house.

Our monthly demonstrations and talks cover a wide variety of topics and mediums and are held at Kennaway House, Sidmouth on the third Thursday of each month. All demos can be attended by members free of charge, guests and visitors are most welcome and are charged a nominal fee. All sessions make use of a large viewing screen and video equipment to maximize your experience and offer a birds eye view of proceedings. Tea, coffee and biscuits is served in the break. For more details of demonstrators, dates & times visit our Program Page.
